Born and raised in Chicago, Elyse McGloin is a skilled and compassionate therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Sciences from Knox College and a Master’s in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley, Elyse brings a strong academic foundation and years of clinical expertise to her work.
Since 2018, Elyse has specialized in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), effectively treating OCD, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and dual diagnoses. Her experience spans diverse settings, including a PHP/IOP treatment clinic, where she provided individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, families, and adults. Elyse has also worked extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community through her involvement with a leading nonprofit, drawing on her lived experience as a bi/pansexual therapist to provide affirming and empowering care.
Elyse is deeply committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is trauma-informed, person-centered, and free of judgment.
