Tyia Grange Isaacson, LCSW, Ph.D, Founder

 Dr. Grange Isaacson brings 30 years of hands on clinical experience to her patients and her supervisees.  She works collaboratively with her clients, providing a compassionate and insightful space to navigate life’s complexities, develop good relationships and  heal emotional wounds. 

Dr. Grange Isaacson is a highly regarded training and supervising analyst, mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals.  Tyia has taught Psychoanalytic Research and Writing at several Institutes.  She earned her Ph.D. in Contemporary Psychoanalysis from the Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York and California, Tyia integrates evidence-based approaches with creative, client-centered treatment to support a wide range of needs. She has specialties in: 

  • Trauma & EMDR treatment
  • Couples, conflict, communication and connection
  • Giftness, throughout the lifespan including parenting challenges
  • Work with Academics

Her published work and anthologized essays reflect her nuanced understanding of culture and mental health, and she regularly shares her insights as a sought-after international speaker.
