Mental Health Therapist (Pre-Licensed, ASW Preferred)
About Belonging Partnership
We are a Berkeley-based group practice dedicated to Social Work values, including equity, social justice, and identity-affirming care. We recruit talented early-career clinicians particularly from marginalized communities and provide close mentorship and trauma-informed, psychodynamic supervision.
The Role
- Hybrid: in Berkeley, CA & via telehealth
- Training & Supervision: Weekly video-reviewed supervision and mentorship from our founder, a social worker and contemporary psychoanalyst
- Clients: UC Berkeley students and a diverse adult/teen community, often with anxiety, depression, and trauma histories
- Caseload: Gradual onboarding (10 clients first 3 months), then 20 per week required
- Schedule: Flexible, with availability for Tuesday/Thursday triadic morning supervision and rotating 1:1 supervision with our Founder on Wednesdays at 12.
- Compensation: $60–$150/hour, with sick leave and benefits for eligible staff
Who You Are
- Passionate about relational, trauma-focused depth work
- Committed to your own therapy (wellness stipend provided)
- Skilled at rapport-building, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming
- Organized, timely with documentation, and tech-savvy
Requirements
- Registered ASW (or equivalent) with CA BBS;
- Passed the CA Law & Ethics exam (or within 6 months of hire)
- Private home office with high-speed WiFi for teletherapy
